Tigre River Waterfall Hike
Excellent hike for a morning in Oxapampa. It only takes 3 hours of your day to visit this beautiful waterfall. You can swim, take pictures and relax for some time before we head back to town.The activity starts and ends in Oxapampa.We will start around 8.30am from Oxapampa. Then we will head south to reach the entrance point, from there we will walk for 45 minutes and reach the waterfall. During our walk we will see and do all the following: • We will go to the Miraflores neighborhood. • Church of St. Francis of Assisi. • Welcome to Oxapampa (El Abra). • 45 min walk Approx. Where we will see pine and cypress reforestation. • Suspension bridge. • Crop of granadillas. • Livestock funds, coffee crops. • We will walk through trails inside the jungle. • We will cross the tiger river.We recommend to wear a hat, suncream and also take a raincover and a swimsuit just in case you want to take a swim.Oxapampa is not in the highlands, however the altitude is 1800 meters above sea level, so if you just arrive to town you may need a couple of hours to get used to the altitude.

Half Day Hike to Yanachaga National Park

All tickets are included in price. Pickup is from your hotel. You should take your own snacks and water.Yanachaga National Park is one of the most amazing nature protected areas in Peru, because it has many different altitude locations. There are cloud forests, deep jungle and even highlands. It is pretty accesible from Oxapampa. It takes about 20min by car to reach the entrance and then start walking.In this 5 hour hike you would be able to see some bird from the area, some orchids (depending on season) and walk around the cloud forest. Take into account that the hike has some steep parts.During the hike our guide will explain some of the flora we will see, such as huge trees and small orchids. Also we will see some natural herbs that are used for medicine. And if you are lucky enough we could se some monkeys on the trees. And if you are even luckier we could see spectacle bear footprints.

Oxapampa to Pozuzo by Bicycle
This biking trek is designed for the adventure lovers looking to explore the central Amazon and Austro-German community of Pozuzo. After heading through one of the deepest canyons in the central Amazon known as Canyon of Huancabamb and a short trek encountering flora, fauna and the natural pools in the jungle, you will explore the European architecture and relaxed atmosphere of Pozuzo. This 10-hour day trip includes a guide, bike rental and return transfer to Oxapampa by van.Begin your adventure early in the morning and head north towards Pozuzo. Cycle through the Canyon of Huancabamb, one of the deepest in the central Amazon of Peru. Once you reach Yachaga Chemillen National Park, leave your bike behind and enjoy a short trek inside the jungle. If you feel the need to cool off, you will have the opportunity to swim in the natural pools.Finally, you will reach Pozuzo. Pozuzo is an Austro-German community known for its typical European houses and the amazing food you can encounter like specially prepared red meats, fresh fruits and fried Yucas.
